Maybe I'm old school....but the thought of using a menstrual cup is weird...but a girlfriend swears by it.

So, I guess I'm wondering if anyone here uses one and what you think...

I'd appreciate any feedback you can offer!

I thought the exact same thing, and then one day in a fit-of-rage protest against tampon prices, I bought one.

And I'm never, not ever, going back. I find it offers better protection, you can wear it for longer, and you save SO much money. Yeah, they're expensive at the outset ($35), but it quickly pays for itself.

I never thought I'd be all pro-Diva, but same thing - a friend recommended it so highly that I had to try it.

But seriously, beware. It's a very very visual experience. Your hands will get messy. I used OB tampons for years, so I was kind of used to this. But yeah. Once you just learn not to look at the cup and just straight dump it and wash it, you're good to go.

I've had a Diva Cup for about 8 years now. Love it. I also use Lunapads and love them even more. A friend of mine has started making menstrual pads and I use those, too.

I really wanted to get on board w/ the Diva Cup, but I bought one years ago, and it always leaked, and I couldn't be confident wearing it out of the house. Now it's probably been long enough that I'll have to go up a size, since I'm now over 30.

I want to get some more re-usable pads, too. Is there anywhere here in Wpg that sells them? Made locally, even?

Coco, my friend who makes re-usable pads is local! Here's her Etsy shop: www.etsy.com/shop/persifunctant
